ACP provides a forum for the exchange of experiences and information through a network of local chapters. Chapters offer members convenient, low-cost educational programs and many other benefits.

The ACP Corporate Board stands ready to assist in the development and operation of a chapter. The primary liaison between the chapter and the Board is the Director of Chapter Services. South Chicagoland College Presidents Sign Mutual Aid Agreement

This is the first of its kind that ACP is aware of! "On July 19, the consortium presidents signed a mutual aid agreement, which is designed to help a member institution maintain operations and business continuity in the aftermath of a crisis. As Business Continuity Professionals we sometimes forget that a large of number of the people we task with building their departments Business Continuity plan do not have a fundamental understanding of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery concepts. We become frustrated with them and their lack of ability to develop a reasonable and workable plan. The first thing we must do to improve compliance is to provide adequate training in both the tools and the concepts.  Plan builders must understand why business continuity is important and the impact it has on the company if not completed accurately.   There are many software tools available on the market today, and the majority of them are quite good.  None of them, however, will do the work for you.  Content is the most important element of a good Business Continuity plan.  Plan builders must understand these basic concepts. NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Norwich University’s Master of Business Continuity Management (MSBC) program graduated its first class on June 11, 2010. 

Fifteen business continuity professionals from a variety of fields, in the public and the private sector, completed the degree online in 18 months of continuous study.

The first tropical storm of the season, Hurricane Alex, has entered the Gulf and took aim on the Texas coast. The print and electronic media carries daily in-depth coverage of the Macondo well blowout off the Louisiana shore – the largest environmental incident in US history.
